Attention ALL United Methodists!!!!

The UMMen invite everyone–female, male, young and old to join us in a gleaning project organized by Cliff Kunes of SenecaCastle, gleaning coordinator.  Cliff has recently had a small stroke and is recovering and I can think of no better medicine than prayer and a lot of people coming out to glean.  By just picking up what’s left over in the fields we can feed hundreds of people who can’t afford this fresh produce. 

Arrangements have been made for distribution through Upstate Food Banks. Let’s not let food go to waste because someone wasn’t willing to bend over and pick it up!  Let’s make Cliff’s dream and vision for gleaming come true.

Come help us be “Doers of the Word.”  ALL are welcome, we are fighting hunger which knows no gender!!

Cliff has made arrangements to do gleaning of butternut squash on Saturday Oct 20st. Meet at Castle Harvester 3164 Seneca Castle Rd, Stanley NY at 9 AM.

Directions:
West on State Rt 5&20 from Geneva , turn North on Seneca Castle Rd , at the Landfill, we are on the east side, blue buildings. Bring lunch & beverage, rain gear warm clothing,gloves, boots,etc.  If you arrive late the field we will be gleaning is at the corner of County Rt.  5 and State  Rt  5&20 across from “Red’s Garage.”  Look for a swarm of Methodists!!!!   If we aren’t in sight, call 607-592-8276 for instructions.

 

An e-mail would be helpful to get a rough head count if you plan to attend and please remember that ALL are welcome.

The Taberg United Methodist Church , at Church & Main Streets, will be having a Ham dinner on Saturday, Oct. 27 from 4:30-7 PM.
